Question Stolen Sunspear Armor

Hello everyone.

I have been farming the challenge mission Dajkah Inlet in Nightfall which gives you a chance of getting a Stolen Sunspear Armor every time you kill a Corsair guild lord.

I am aiming for getting my fellowship monument in the HoM as high as possible, and for that I need some Stolen Sunspear Armors.

I did it a couple times and got 3 of them, and I used them on Koss, Dunkoro and Melloni(or what ever her name may be) I also made my secondary class ranger and charmed a pet and got it to lvl 20 and put it there too.

Now I need 1 more Stolen Sunspear armor for getting the full display.

BUT - It seams I can't get anymore of them, I have done the mission about 15 times and haven't gained a single SSA.

I looked at the talk:stolen sulspear armor at the wiki and someone over there mentioned that I had to wait a month to get one more. Is this it? Should I wait a month?

I have also done the Remains of Sahlahja challenge mission a couple times and I did not get any Ancient Armor Remnants.

What's wrong?

Did you try with a different char? I think the 'drops' for those kinds of armour remnants are quite low after you got a few. The only ones you can be sure of is the brotherhood and deldrimor( I think that's the only sure ones, dunno if defeating mallyx also gives one for sure)

Had the same problem a while back. Got 3 remnants and they stopped dropping for me. I still don't understand why it was made this way.

Don't forget as well, if you get tired of farming for SSA, you can go farm for Ancient, Mysterious, and Primeval Armor Remnants in Nightfall. Not sure if you have EotN as well, but you can farm for Brotherhood and Deldrimor Armor Remnants there.

You can use any of those Armor Remnants to fill your monument, it doesn't just have to be SSA. So if you aren't having any luck with those dropping, head to the others and try your luck at those.

SSA i had quite a run on - i had almost 15 of them in total but you do get dry runs .Most i had was 6 from 1 run and that took 45 mins with my guildies , was getting quite crazy and we were all glad we wiped when we did lol.
Dajkah can be litterally done with a team with no team synergy or set builds - we did it , and we tend to do it for fun hence no set anything but an organised team would easily get a higher score than we did , just depends on how you want to play it.

SpyderArachnid - i think ssa is easier to get out of the nf hero armor parts , i did 6 runs of the err rot/doa one ( got bad memory in regards to doa ) and even got over 100 but never had any armor parts and the one in remains is tedious.

from what I remember you only get a few stolen ones per character (unless you score really really high)....and the wurm one--you need to get a pretty good score there as well--but I think I got more than 3 in one go so you might just need to get better to get more on that one, and the mysterious---I think someone mentioned a score about 100 before you get one armor (this is all hearsay so take it for what you wish)....

I think they did that with the stolen ones so that you would have to use different characters to outfit your heroes--and lower the 'farming' aspect of it.

After a few (3 i guess) the drop rate for SSA gets much much lower, but it can still drop.

I farmed Dajkah Inlet mission with 2 characters for Sunspear points (to get from lvl8 to 9).
When i got to lvl9 i had gotten 12 SSA with both characters (avarage 6 per character).

Also note that they are not that expensive so you can farm something for cash and just buy them. Pretty much any profession can farm feathers, for example.

This is actually true with every way to get hero armor. It is easy/high drop rate to get the first 3, but after that, the drop rates plummet. After all, you can only have 3 heroes with you at a time, so A.net wants you to be able to spec out your favorite heroes that you have with you all the time. After that though, you gotta grind.

Brootherhood is obviously way easier (one 15 minute instance compared to beating all of Slavers).

To get Brotherhood Armor, you'll need to be at the Central Transfer Chamber. This is the final outpost of EotN. Do the campaign and you'll get there.

Additionally, Slaver's Exile only becomes available after your character has finished the primary missions of Eye of the North.

U can buy Brotherhood armor from players in other places, but to upgrade Heroes with it, that is done in the Central Transfer Chamber.
Wich requires having done near all primary EotN quests/missions.

Easier but more expensive is buying Deldrimor armor and upgrade Heroes with it in Gunnar's Hold. Wich can be accessed by just traveling there.

Easier? Good luck finding sellers. High demand, but low supply
